VASAIKO HD16 6-in-1 CO Monitor with Real-Time Display
See What Your CO Alarm Can't
UL-listed alarms are required to ignore CO below 30 ppm — and to show you "0". HD16 shows the real number.
Keep your alarms. Add the layer they were never allowed to give you.
HD16 is a supplemental monitor. It is not a substitute for UL 2034-listed CO alarms or UL 217-listed smoke alarms required by your state or local code. Keep your existing alarms installed and maintained.
Why VASAIKO HD16 Stands Out

Why your alarm has been showing you "0"
Same sensor technology. Their firmware is required to hide the number. Ours shows it.
| CO Level | UL-Listed Alarm (Kidde / First Alert / X-Sense) | HD16 |
|---|---|---|
| 0–29 ppm | Must stay silent; if it has a display, it must read "0" | Shows the live reading |
| 30–69 ppm | May stay silent, or warn after 1 hour (most brands don't) | Live reading + alert |
| 70 ppm | Must alarm within 60–240 minutes | Live reading + alert |
| 150 ppm+ | Must alarm within 10–50 minutes | Live reading + alert |
That's not a defect — it's the standard. UL 2034 requires certified alarms to ignore everything below 30 ppm to avoid nuisance calls. HD16 simply isn't playing by that rule.

What Your Reading Actually Means
Electrochemical sensors drift slightly and can react to everyday household vapors. Here's how to read the number.
| Reading | What it means |
|---|---|
| 0–9 ppm | Typical. The EPA 8-hour outdoor standard is 9 ppm. |
| 10–29 ppm | Worth watching. Often from ovens, fireplaces, or a car idling in an attached garage. Ventilate and re-check. |
| 30 ppm+ | Act. Ventilate, move everyone to fresh air. If your UL-listed alarm sounds, get out and call 911. |
Good to know: ① Gas stoves commonly produce brief readings of 5–15 ppm even when working properly (EPA). ② This is a monitor, not a laboratory instrument. Readings are for awareness and trend-watching — not for diagnosis.
