See What a Standard CO Alarm Doesn’t Show

Most household CO alarms are designed to remain silent at low readings. The VASAIKO HD16 adds another layer of awareness by displaying live CO levels from 0–999 ppm, refreshed every 2 seconds.

It also brings combustible gas, smoke, temperature and humidity information together on one easy-to-read color screen—so you can understand more of what is happening around you.

Keep your required alarms. Add the missing layer.

Key points:

  • Live CO readings from 0–999 ppm
  • Five environmental signals on one color screen
  • 85dB audible and visual alerts
  • Plug-in power with rechargeable battery backup
  • Magnetic mounting for home, RV and travel

Add the Missing Layer

Five Environmental Signals. One Clear Display.

HD16 helps you monitor more than carbon monoxide. Its color display brings five important readings and alerts together in one place:

  • Carbon monoxide
  • Combustible gas
  • Smoke
  • Temperature
  • Humidity

Instead of relying only on an alarm tone, you can view the current CO level, temperature and humidity at a glance. Built-in battery backup completes the 6-in-1 monitoring system, helping the device continue operating when AC power is unavailable.

Live CO Readings—Updated Every 2 Seconds

HD16 uses an electrochemical CO sensor to display readings across a 0–999 ppm range. The displayed value refreshes every two seconds, making it easier to notice changes and monitor trends over time.

The bright 2.8-inch color screen clearly presents CO concentration, gas and smoke status, temperature, humidity, battery level and alarm condition—all without opening an app.

Plug It In—or Take It With You

Use the standard AC adapter for continuous monitoring at home. When portability matters, detach the monitor and attach the included magnetic adapter.

Simple One-Button Status Check

A short press of the test button initiates the device’s self-check sequence, allowing you to confirm its audible, visual and status functions before use.

Clear power, fault and alarm indicators make routine status checks straightforward—without complicated setup or app pairing.

For best results, test the unit regularly and follow all installation, placement and maintenance instructions included with the product.

The built-in 1,000mAh rechargeable battery provides approximately eight hours of backup operation, making HD16 useful during short power outages and for temporary monitoring away from an outlet.

Suitable locations include:

  • Kitchens and utility rooms
  • Garages and basements
  • RVs and camper vans
  • Cabins and vacation rentals
  • Hotel rooms and travel accommodation

Why Choose the VASAIKO HD16?

  • More visible information: See live CO readings instead of relying only on an alarm
  • More environmental context: CO, gas, smoke, temperature and humidity together
  • Fast updates: Display refreshes every two seconds
  • Clear warnings: 85dB sound plus visual status indicators
  • Flexible power: Plug-in operation with rechargeable battery backup
  • Portable mounting: Magnetic adapter for temporary placement and travel
  • No app required: Essential readings are visible directly on the screen

Questions, answered

Everything you need to know before you buy

Real answers to the questions families ask us most about CO protection.

What does PPM on the display mean?+
PPM means parts per million — the standard unit for carbon monoxide in the air. An alarm tells you when levels reach its threshold; a monitor shows the live reading on screen, so you can watch the number itself instead of waiting for a beep.
How is this different from a basic CO alarm?+
A display-equipped monitor lets you see the current CO reading instead of relying on an alarm tone alone. The HD16 also shows combustible-gas and smoke status, temperature and humidity on its screen, without an app. This is a supplemental monitor: keep all CO and smoke alarms required by your local codes installed and maintained.
Where should I place it?+
Follow the placement and mounting instructions supplied with your specific model. Keep required CO and smoke alarms in the locations specified by local codes; a supplemental monitor does not replace them. If you are unsure about a location near fuel-burning appliances, vents or moisture, check the product manual before installing it.
Will it false-alarm from cooking or steam?+
Cooking fumes and steam can affect sensor readings or trigger alerts. Follow the manual's placement guidance and test the device regularly. Never dismiss an alarm because the CO number looks low: smoke, combustible gas and carbon monoxide are different hazards. If an alarm sounds, follow the device instructions and your household safety plan.
What happens if the power goes out?+
Models with a charged backup battery can continue operating when AC power is unavailable. For the HD16, the stated backup time is approximately eight hours; actual runtime depends on battery condition and use. Follow the included charging and testing instructions. Never run a generator indoors or near openings to the home.
Is it certified and built to last?+
Check the listing and documentation for your exact model for its applicable certifications and warranty terms. The HD16 has a stated 2-year warranty and 5-year CO sensor life. This is a supplemental monitor, not a substitute for the UL-listed alarms required by state or local code. Keep your required alarms installed and maintained.
